Some Reflections on the Evolution in Propaganda & Indigena

On one of my other blogs, I wrote a post about some “recent” developments in the fields of propaganda (vs. indigena — see also “Propaganda Information Technology vs. Indigena Information Technology — the Basic Idea“) … “recent” in evolutionary terms. 😉 To view this exciting post, see “Please Don’t Make Me Think” [ https://socio.business.blog/2023/09/17/please-dont-make-me-think ].

Here, I would like to note a rather minor “housekeeping” matter: I have chosen to adopt a still image from a promotional video which describes “Ethnologue” — a service which apparently provides information about (“natural”?) languages worldwide — meaning (I guess) predominantly human languages used (primarily spoken and signed) here on Earth. I do not know very much about this service — for example, how the organization views things like written languages. I merely think the image is useful as a sort of “logographic” for this website. It is perhaps not ideal (mainly since the graphic resolution of logos is far less than can be translated from such a large photo), but for the moment I consider it to be better than nothing. For more about the service and also to view the video, see ethnologue.com/about .

It is nothing more than a makeshift solution that occurred to me when viewing the promotional video. I do not mean to thereby endorse or violate anything. I merely think that it is a quick and easy way to generally identify what the term “indigenous” refers to … here, now, for me (and maybe also for you, and maybe even for all of us?).
